Strength and Fatigue Testing of Composite Patches for Ship Plating Fracture Repair


Overview:

A description of the project's background, objective, scope, expectations and deliverables.

The goal of SSC SR-1461 is to explore and experimentally validate the use of composite patches for preventing crack growth and extending the lifetime of aluminum and steel ship structures.


Forum:

An online bulletin board (forum) with four pre-set threads to discuss the Statement of Work, Kick-off Meeting, Interim Reporting, and Final Reporting is available for the PTC members to use to conversate, review deliverables, comment and suggest changes. The forum is moderated by the project chair. Access to comment on and edit documents in the forum is restricted to PTC members however members of the public are welcome to view all postings.
